MSC FANTASIA: Ein gutes neues Jahr??? / A Happy New Year ???

P&C (nicht Peek & Cloppenburg - sondern aus dem cruisecritic.com-Forum) schreiben mir etwas von strahlend blauem Himmel und 25°C. Leider sind sie aus Neuseeland und selbst wenn ich es schaffe, den Kapitän mit einer Liebschaft aus seinem früheren Leben zu erpressen: In 11 Nächten schafft man es kaum, mal eben nach Neuseeland. Hätte uns wirklich gut getan.

Wir wechseln mal zu wetter.com. Es funktioniert wieder. Dort gibt es eine 16-Tages-Vorschau, die jetzt unsere ganze Kreuzfahrt abdeckt:

Dass es so kalt in Andalusien werden soll, hätte ich nicht erwartet. Andererseits fanden ja schon mal die Ski-WM in der Sierra Nevada statt.

Ich bin ja schon sehr gespannt, was aus unserem Halt in Santa Cruz de Tenerife wird, nach die BALMORAL nicht anlegen konnte, weil eine Fähre zuvor die Mole beschädigt hat.

Aber vielleicht interessiert es uns bald nicht mehr: Bruno geht es immer schlechter. Wollten wir nicht immer schon mal ausprobieren, wie die ADAC-Reiserücktrittsversicherung greift???

Und als ich losfahren wollte, um gestern Abend thorsten13 und Bodo zum Abendessen zu treffen, ging hier der Glatteisregen los. Und in den Hügeln des Odenwaldes wird leider nicht sofort abgestreut. Schon gar nicht für die 290 Einwohner unseres Dorfes. Ich bin dann hier geblieben, weil ich nicht vor der Kreuzfahrt noch in einem Straßengraben landen wollte. Allerdings bauen wir im Moment ja die Vorräte ab, wegen der bevorstehenden Kreuzfahrt. Die Tiefkühltruhe hat noch einen Möhreneintopf hergegeben. Wir hatten ja auch kein Feuerwerk gekauft. Nur durch den Glatteisregen hatten wohl max. fünf Haushalte in unserem Dorf etwas abfeuert, weil sich keiner auf die Straße traute.

P&C (from cruisecritic.com but same as German fashion warehouse chain) wrote something on clear blue sky and 77F. Unfortunately, they are in New Zealand, and even I would make to blackmail the captain with some liaisons from his former life: In 11 nights you can get to New Zealand. Would have been very nice to us.

We change to the German Weather Office's website wetter.com. I works again. There is a 16-Day-Forecast available which cover our whole cruise:

I did not expect that it will become so cold in Andalusia. But then the World Championship in Skiing was held in the Sierra Nevada.

Since a ferry damaged the mole of Santa Cruz de Tenerife during a winter storm and the cruise ship BALMORAL could not berth before I am very curious to see what will happen with our call.

But maybe we are not interested anymore to know: Bruno feels worse and worse. Did not we always want to see how the cancellation insurance of our automobilists' club works?

And just when I wanted to leave last night to meet thorsten13 and Bodo (from the German ncl-fans-Forum) for dinner, we got black ice rain. And in the highlands of Odenwald, none is providing winter road service asap. And not for 290 inhabitants of our village. I stayed home, as I did not want to get into a roadside ditch before our future cruise. But we are currently reducing our food stock because of the cruise. The freezer released a carrot stew. We did not buy any fireworks. Due to the black ice, maybe five households of our village did some fireworks because nobody went out of their houses.
