Eine nervige Nacht liegt hinter uns. Die Gläsersammlung ist so eng aneinander gestellt und die Vibration in der Kabine ist ziemlich stark. Und jetzt kann jeder hoffentlich 1 + 1 zusammen zählen.
We had an annoying night after us. The collection of glasses were so narrowly set, and the vibration in the cabin was quite intense. And now I hoped that every once could count 1 + 1.The bill arrived.
Die Rechnung ist da.Ich erwarte eigentlich nicht, dass der Butler sich bei uns die Haare fönt, sonst hätte er vermutlich schon den leistungsschwachen Fön bemerkt.

Die Schiebetüren lassen sich weder einfach öffnen und schließen, aber das hat offensichtlich unser Butler nicht bemerkt.Im Bad wird offensichtlich nur mit kaltem Wasser geputzt. So wird also auch nicht bemerkt, dass die Lüftung nicht funktioniert.
It looked like, that they only cleaned the bathroom with cold water. Otherwise, they would notice that the ventilation did not work.In the Top Sail Lounge, a pleasant surprise was waiting for me: when I edited and transfer my pictures, the bartender of the early shift came, who knew me already from MSC MERAVIGLIA 2017 and offered me a cappuccino, even the bar was not open yet officially: Boris. And one butler attracted our attention due to his engaging style: Shailesh - he was approaching all guests, and you could feel that he was disappointed if there was nothing good he could do for you. Also that morning he set up the buffet in the Top Sail Lounge. In front of the lounge, you found a smaller outdoor area for smokers and fresh air lovers.
In der Top Sail Lounge erwartet mich eine Überraschung: als ich morgens meine Bilder bearbeite und übertrage, kommt der Bartender der Frühschicht rein, der mir auch schon auf der MSC MERAVIGLIA 2017 immer schon einen Cappucino angeboten hat, selbst wenn die Bar offiziell nicht geöffnet hat: Boris. Und ein Butler fällt durch seine sehr freundliche Art auf: Shailesh - er geht immer auf alle Gäste zu und man merkt, dass er enttäuscht ist, wenn er nicht einem etwas Gutes tun kann. Auch heute Morgen hat er das Büffet in der Top Sail Lounge aufgebaut. Vor der Lounge gibt es einen kleinen Außenbereich für Raucher und Frischluft-Liebhaber.Das Restaurant hängt über der Top Sail Lounge. Das ist zwar schön, aber leider auch sehr laut. Wir erleben hier einen schönen Sonnenaufgang über Genua beim Frühstück.

We experienced a breathtaking sunrise over Genoa, Italy when we had breakfast.The buffet for breakfast was not offered anymore. Everything came à-la-carte. A little strange: Bruno's muesli was served without milk. You need to order it separately.
Das Büffet beim Frühstück gibt es nicht. Alles kommt à-la-carte. Etwas komisch: Brunos Müsli wird ohne Milch serviert. Die muss man ausdrücklich extra bestellen.Ich muss oben nochmals hin zum Fotografieren. Vielleicht hätten wir besser hier draußen frühstücken sollen, wenn es nicht so kalt gewesen wäre.
I needed to go up to take some more pictures. Maybe we better should have breakfast outdoor, subject it was not so cold outside.We arrived in Genoa. It was beautiful as usual.

We could not get back to the Yacht Club area on deck 18. Here they were painting wet. Someone removed Bruno's coffee pot and cup. I was wondering if I found it may be in our garden. Auf Deck 18 kommen wir nicht wieder in den Yacht Club Bereich rein. Hier wird bereits frisch gestrichen. Jemand hat die Kaffeekanne und Tasse von Bruno entfernt. Ob sie jetzt vielleicht bei uns im Garten steht?Wir verlassen das Schiff ohne die Begleitung eines Butlers. Zwei weibliche Butler sind wohl dafür zugeteilt, die Gäste nach unten zu begleiten, aber nachdem sie nicht grüßen und mich eine beim Laufen während des Telefonierens fast umrennt, lege ich keinen Wert mehr darauf, dass mich jemand runterbegleitet. Bei Ari auf der MSC MERAVIGLIA 2017 war es ja komplett anders: damals gab es Butler-Service vom Kofferraum zum Kofferraum. Ich muss mal nachfragen, ob das eingespart wurde und jetzt es auch nur noch Terminal zu Terminal gibt, wie bei NCL als Beispiel zuletzt auf der NORWEGIAN JADE 2018, als wir auch eine Suite mit Butler hatten.
We left the ship without the escort of a butler. Two female butlers were allocated to escort the guests downward, and after they were not greeting and one was knocking me down, while she was walking and making a phone call, I did not want anyone, who would take me off the ship. Wir tun mal so, als ob wir einen Flughafen-Transfer gebucht haben und laufen den anderen hinterher, damit wir von dort aus noch ein paar Aufnahmen von der MSC SEAVIEW machen können.Es hätte sogar einen Transfer nach Linate für Bruno gegeben, aber ich habe schon die Bahnfahrkarten. Im Kreuzfahrtterminal gibt es sogar einen Stand für Taxi-Touren. Bis zum Bahnhof Piazza Principe laufen wir die paar Schritte. Da kommen wir noch an einem Stand der Touristeninformation vorbei.

Problem: wir sind den Stundentakt in Deutschland bzw. Halbstundentakt in der Schweiz gewohnt. Es ist schon ziemlich ätzend, dass erst zwei Stunden später erst wieder etwas fährt und den darf man nicht einmal mit einem Trenitalia-Ticket nutzen, da es ein Thello-Zug ist, der aus Frankreich kommt. Im Zug gibt es Steckdosen und Mini-Bar. Und wir kommen sogar sehr viel früher in Mailand an.
You needed to validate the tickets in Italy. I bought eTickets on the app. So I did not try to validate my iPhone. Our problem was: we were used to having the trains in Germany in 1-hour-frequency or in Switzerland in 1/2-hour-frequency running. It was somehow bad that the next connection would be two hours later and you were not allowed to use the train with a Trenitalia-ticket since it would be a Thello-train which came from France. In the train, you had an electric power outlet and mini-bar. And we arrived in Milan, Italy much earlier.We arrived in a Cathedral of the Modernity: Milano Centrale - Milan Central Station. Here you had Venchi too like on the ship. The queue in front of the baggage storage Kipoint was endless, so we had to find an alternative. When we left the terminal building, we saw an alternative Stow your Bags close to the station. There were also branches in Rome, Venice, Naples, Italy - maybe interesting for cruisers.

Die Schlange vor der Gepäckaufbewahrung Kipoint ist so lang, dass wir eine Alternative brauchen. Erst als ich draußen stehe, gibt es einen Hinweis auf eine Alternative Stow your Bags in Bahnhofsnähe. Es gibt sie auch in Rom, Venedig, Neapel - vielleicht nicht uninteressant für Kreuzfahrer.Über dayuse buche ich für 50,00 EUR ein Tageszimmer für vier Stunden. Gegenüber vom Bahnhof: Mini Hotel Aosta. Passt sehr gut. Wir stellen hier alles ab und ich kann später mich auch hier umziehen. Und ich kann später im Gepäckraum noch länger mein Gepäck abstellen. Die Zeit, die wir in der Schlange verloren hätten, ist es uns Wert.
On dayuse I booked for 50.00 EUR a day room for four hours. Opposite the train station: Mini Hotel Aosta. It fit perfectly. We stored everything here, and I could change the clothes later. Wir laufen durch Mailand zum Essen.Da es kein Eataly auf der MSC SEAVIEW gibt, müssen wir in Mailand hier essen. Wir sind kurz nach 12:00 Uhr da und bekommen gerade noch einen Tisch. Vorher hat sich mein iPhone gemeldet, dass wir im Zug verspätet sind und ich Bruno, der mir gegenübersitzt informieren soll, dass wir zu spät zum Essen kommen. Es gibt sogar italienische Cola: Mole Cola. Ich hätte doch auch eine Pizza nehmen sollen. Mir sind meine Pasta zu al dente.
Since they had no Eataly on MSC SEAVIEW, we needed to dine here in Milan. We arrived just after 12:00 hrs and had the luck to get a table. Before my iPhone reported that our train was late and I should inform Bruno, who was sitting opposite, that we would come too late for lunch. They had Italian Cola: Mole Cola. I better should take a pizza too. My pasta was too "al dente" for me.Bruno needed to get to Linate Airport. You needed to check in the train station which direction you needed to heading out: the buses to Linate started from a different side but the buses to Malpensa.
Bruno muss zum Flughafen Linate. Man muss im Bahnhof schon darauf achten, in welcher Richtung man rauslaufen muss: die Busse nach Linate fahren auf einer anderen Seite ab, als die Busse nach Malpensa.Direkt vor dem Bahnhof kann man schon die Tickets kaufen. Es ist der Ausgang direkt nach der Gepäckaufbewahrung. Bruno nimmt jedoch lieber Uber, weil es knapp werden könnte. Er fliegt mit Lufthansa zurück, aber die Tickets sind bei Brussels Airlines preiswerter als bei Lufthansa selbst.
Just in front of the station you could buy the tickets. It was the exit just next to the baggage storage. Bruno preferred to use Uber because it could become tight. He was flying back with Lufthansa, but the tickets were cheaper with Brussels Airlines but with Lufthansa.I experienced a bad surprise: I could not get back immediately because all seats towards Basle, Switzerland were sold out until late at night. So I used the chance to see at short-notice Da Michele, who was also in Milan. Double as expensive as in Naples, Italy, and you had items, you could not find with Da Michele in Naples: deep-fried pizza: very yummy. I was recently here: but the Margherita was better in Naples like we had on our voyage on ALLURE OF THE SEAS 2015.
Ich werde böse überrascht: ich komme nicht sofort weg, weil alle Plätze in den direkten Zügen nach Basel bis spätabends ausgebucht sind. Das nutze ich, in dem ich kurzerhand nochmals zu Da Michele gehe, der auch in Mailand ist. Doppelt so teuer als in Neapel und es gibt Sachen, die es bei Da Michele in Neapel nicht gibt: frittierte Pizza: sehr lecker. Ich war vor kurzem schon mal hier: aber die Margherita ist in Neapel leckerer, wie zuletzt auf der Reise mit der ALLURE OF THE SEAS 2015.Zufällig entdecke ich am Bahnhof die Konkurrenz von Trenitalia: italo.
Accidentially I discovered in the train station the competitor of Trenitalia: italo.But they did not serve any station starting with the letter G (including Genoa). So it was no alternative.
Aber sie fahren keinen Bahnhof mit G (also auch Genua) gar nicht an. Also doch keine Alternative.Ich habe irgendwie nur nach Basel gesucht. Später sehe, dass ich aber Plätze nach Zürich haben könnte. Leider zu spät, um einen verspäteten Zug nach Zürich zu erwischen. Für die Umbuchung muss ich leider etwas zahlen. Mit Reservierung werde ich durch die Zugangskontrolle zum Bahnsteig zugelassen. Man muss allerdings drinnen noch warten, bis dass man das Gleis erfährt. Ich bekomme noch Plätze im EC 10 bis nach Arth-Goldau und kann dort umsteigen. Ich fahre im "Johann Wolfgang von Goethe", der normalerweise über Basel nach Frankfurt eingesetzt sein sollte und dafür extra lackiert wurde.

For rebooking, I needed to pay an extra fee. With a reservation, I was allowed to access the platform area. You needed to wait inside until they published the track number. I got seats in EC 10 towards Arth-Goldau, Switzerland and could transfer there.
