Tag/Day 2.1 auf der/on MSC WORLD EUROPA in Marseille, France

Ich fühle mich wie Linus von den Peanuts, der von Lucy seine Schmusedecke abgenommen bekommen hat. Bruno zieht es zu sehr. Er nimmt unsere starken Magneten und stellt fest, dass die Decken auch magnetisch sind. Kurzerhand sucht er eine leichte Decke und nimmt mein Lieblings Hamman-Tuch, das ich in Istanbul auf der NORWEGIAN JADE 2014 (1)-Reise gekauft habe. Wir hatten zuvor das Probleme, dass wir nicht heizen konnten. Das hatten wir der Rezeption gemeldet. Sie haben sich sehr schnell darum gekümmert und sich mit der Aufmerksamkeit entschuldigt. Irgenwie hasse ich die Lage unserer Kabine. So lange Wege auf dem Schiff hatten wir schon lange nicht mehr. Sie wollen uns tatsächlich wieder von Bord haben, bevor wir uns überhaupt richtig eingelebt haben. Mit unserem Kabinensteward Aggriawan sind wir sehr zufrieden.

The ship is sexy! Greatly lit. It's enjoyable to walk around here at night — also the staircases at the stern, which we knew from MSC FANTASIA 2009. You could retreat there. Some even dragged a deck chair back then. I met the Hatecke employees on REGAL PRINCESS 2022. I also got a great hoodie from them. Unfortunately, it wasn't dry yet when we left.



Das Schiff ist sexy! Toll beleuchtet. Es macht sehr viel Spaß, nachts hier herumzulaufen. Auch die Treppenhäuser am Heck, die wir von der MSC FANTASIA 2009 her kannten. Dort konnte man sich zurückziehen. Manche haben sich damals einen Liegestuhl sogar hingeschleppt. Auf der REGAL PRINCESS 2022 hatte ich ja die Mitarbeiter von Hatecke kennengelernt. Ich habe von denen auch einen tollen Hoodie bekommen. Aber sie war leider noch nicht trocken, als wir abgefahren sind.

Ich sehe mich weiter um. Der Fitnessbereich ist abgeschlossen. Ich gucke mich im Spaßbereich um. Bruno hat für die MSC Foundation gestiftet. Das Schiff ist vollkommen ausgebucht. Es wollten ja wohl noch welche aus dem Forum kreuzfahrten-treff.de in Marseille für eine Nacht zusteigen, aber sie wurden im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes "ausgebootet". Die Decks sind nach europäischen Hauptstädten benannt. Hier ist das Berlin-Deck. Man kann ja nicht behaupten, dass der Spa-Bereich auf MSC-Schiffen preiswert ist. Früher als man dachte, dass MSC eine "Billig"-Linie an Bord ist, sind lange vorbei. Es wird überall in mehreren Sprachen hingewiesen, dass Zeitumstellung ist. Auch sehr gut: die Touch-Screen Bildschirme zur Orientierung gibt es auch in Arabisch, Chinesisch und Japanisch. Interessant ist auch das Angebot in der Champagner-Bar.

Kaito is an Asian food offering. The sushi restaurant on MSC MUSICA 2007 was excellent. The Asian restaurant on MSC SEAVIEW 2018 didn't convince me. It could be better on MSC MAGNIFICA 2021. That's why I didn't want to use our diamond menu here.



Kaito ist das asiatische Essensangebot. Das Sushi-Restaurant auf der MSC MUSICA 2007 war sehr gut. Das asiatische Restaurant auf der MSC SEAVIEW 2018 konnte mich nicht so richtig überzeugen. Und ganz schlimm are es auf der MSC MAGNIFICA 2021. Deswegen wollte ich hier unser Diamond-Menü nicht unbedingt hier einsetzen.





Die Decke der Promenade ist nicht so ganz faszinierend wie auf anderen Schiffen, weil sie nicht durchgehend von einem Ende zum anderen Ende geht. Man kann hier die RFID-Bänder kaufen. Aber man kann sie nur einmalig nutzen. Es ist nicht möglich, diese zu kaufen, und auf der nächsten Kreuzfahrt wieder zu verwenden.

I take a closer look at the phone booth. A British telephone box with an American telephone in it! But I don't have any quarters, dimes, or nickels with me. It's a shame: unfortunately, it's a push-button telephone and not a rotary dial telephone. I remember the movie "In and Out" (with Kevin Kline, Joan Cusack, Tom Selleck, Matt Dillon, and Debbie Reynolds). A young girl (Shalom Harlow) there also had a "problem" making a phone call with a rotary dial. She typed the number into the holes on the dial. However, there is a button stored in each hole.



Ich sehe mir näher die Telefonzelle an. Eine britische Telefonzelle mit amerikanischem Telefon drin! Ich habe aber gar keine Quarter, Dimes und Nickels mit. Schade: es ist leider ein Tastentelefon und kein Wählscheibentelefon. Ich erinnere mich an den Film "In und Out" (mit Kevin Kline, Joan Cusack, Tom Selleck, Matt Dillon, Debbie Reynolds). Dort hatte auch ein junges Mädchen (Shalom Harlow) ein "Problem" ein Telefonat mit einem Wählscheibentelefon zu führen. Sie tippte die Nummer in die Löcher der Wählscheibe rein. Hier ist jedoch in jedem Loch eine Taste hinterlegt.







There is still the MSC Lunapark Arena. The entertainment program has changed a lot between MSC MUSICA 2007 and now. The bear also dances here in the evenings.



Es gibt noch die MSC Lunapark Arena. Das Unterhaltungsprogramm hat sich doch sehr zwischen der MSC MUSICA 2007 und jetzt geändert. Hier steppt abends auch der Bär.

An frühen morgen ist es eiskalt draußen, so dass ich sogar meine Wollmütze anziehen muss. Später ist es so warm, dass Bruno die Chance nutzt etwas auszuwaschen und auf dem Balkon zum Trocknen auszuhängen. Wir haben ja die Riesenklammern von drei Gesellschaften, mit denen wir die Wäsche gut sichern können. Am Nachmittag ist es so schön sonnig und warm, dass ich eine Zeitlang draußen die frische Luft und den Wellengang auf dem Balkon genießen kann.



It's cold outside early in the morning, so I must wear my wool hat. Later, it was so warm that Bruno washed something out and hung it to dry on the balcony. We have giant clips from three companies that we can use to secure the laundry well. It is so beautifully sunny and warm in the afternoon that I can enjoy the fresh air and the waves on the balcony for a while.
